It’s finally here – the long awaited new album from Injection X!
Hippety Hop (To The X) is an amazing menagerie of mixes with special guests…
The Kamikaze Sugabears groove it up to David Whittaker’s Spectrum 128k music for the splendid old Sinclair User cover-tape game Bear-A-Grudge! Ice-T smoothes it up with Manhattan Transfer! MC Mackeral hypes it up to the max with The Brian Bennett Band’s International Rugby theme “Holy Mackeral!” and Jeff Wayne’s TV-am theme! Snoop Dogg & Dr. Dre jam it up to the Agatha Christie’s Poirot theme tune! The Gary Numan classic “I Die You Die” gets additional attention from Q-Tip and Busta Rhymes! 50 Cent raps it cool and collected about a wannabe gangsta aka “Wanksta” to none other than The Damned’s “Grimly Fiendish”! On what has to be the craziest track on what is already a crazy album, Eminem goes absolutely “Fuckin’ Crazy” to the nutty theme song to the old early-80s Tommy Boyd/Isla St Claire Saturday morning Britkid show: The Saturday Show! This is all rounded off with a chilled remix of Richard Burton’s dialogue from Jeff Wayne’s War Of The Worlds set to Michael Nyman’s “Car Crash” from A Zed & Two Noughts!
